Issue With Sliced Model In V5

Here is a model I am having an issue with. This affects all V5 version. This model is fine in V4.
The model is error free and manifold. Checked in Netfabb Pro.

The before slice and after slice pictures show missing areas and also some added stuff that is not there on the actual model.

Thanks for any ideas on fixing this.

Can you please post the factory file or the original STL? It's hard to give any suggestions without it.

I cannot share. The files belong to a customer.

Does your customer use NX by chance?

I've gotten some almost identical junk from some beginner engineers because NX is willing to export some real junk as an .STL.
Flipped normals and self-intersections can do some weird stuff, even if there appears to be a solid model. So do floating planes.

I get different repair behavior from v4 and v5 too, so maybe it's because of how v5 is trying to fix dimensionless planes in badly designed models now.

I don't know what errors your software checks for, but I really think it's your customer's model.

I've seen this happen with models that have a bad mesh.

Here at work I see it happen quite a bit when transferring a model from one CAD software to another.

Re: Issue With Sliced Model In V5

Mesh is fine and I verified it.
Works fine in V4 and two other slicers but not in V5.
