Extrusion issues in V5

Hi,
I am using V5.x latest update. I just bought a new OMG DM1 VS2 Extruder and REVO high flow hot end. I thought I had everything dialed in; print 2 4.5 hour prints perfect. Then I tried a bigger wider print and I keep getting Too Long Extrusion errors and I can't dial in a successful first layer. I then tried using a past profile to see if those settings would work. Printing a 10+ hour print and so far perfect . The only thing I can think of is my retraction was set to 4.00mm. I set it back to 0.40mm. Has anyone else had unexplained issues. Other symptoms was that parts of the print would lay down perfect and other sections of my print bed filament wouldn't lay down at all. So I tried re-leveling my bed. No luck until I tried a past profile. Also it seemed like simplify3d was majorly over extruding and running the extruder very fast to the point that the extruder started to strip filament badly . The only other thing I can think of is a Marlin issue. Because from my from control panel extruding filament using NORMAL extrusion speed was causing the extruder to run fast enough to stripping my filament.

Re: Extrusion issues in V5

You could try going to Help > Configuration Assistant, and re-downloading our stock profile for your printer. That way you can know if it might be an accidental setting change that is at fault.
