Networking with Duet Maestro

The new printer networking UI is really nice.
But, unfortunately (for me) not terribly reliable. The 5.1.2 release, on my first try, the download and monitoring to my Duet Maestro worked great! But never again today. Even after disconnect/connect and restarting S3D. Subsequent file downloads would work about 20% of the time and the device monitoring never worked again. The Duet Web interface had no issues, so I could use that after the print started.
Something is not quite right in that functionality yet.

Re: Networking with Duet Maestro

We have several Duets in our office and haven't noticed any reliability issues like this. I don't think we've had customers report this behavior either.

One idea might be to completely remove the old device from the list in the Machine Control Panel, and then click the "Add New" button to repeat the setup wizard. It can also help to make sure no other programs are connected to the machine at the same time, and sometimes even to move the machine closer to the wireless network.

That is interesting - So you can't have a web page open to the Duet when you connect with S3D. Hmm.

I have not tried that.
