Where are News?

Hello, why is nothing happening in terms of further development updates? I bought it with hope and am now very disappointed. In the meantime, free tools offer more, which makes me think. Please excuse me, my englisch ist not the best.

Re: Where are News?

You can see all of the updates our team already released over the past year here:
https://www.simplify3d.com/products/sim ... ase-notes/

In fact, they released more updates last year than any other year I can remember, so there has been much progress.

Right now, the developers are busy working on their next big feature update. The bigger updates take longer than small incremental releases, so it is normal that there will be a longer gap before those are finalized.

In the meantime, if there are any specific features you want to see, be sure to vote for them in the Feature Request sub-forum. Our team uses that information to prioritize what changes to work on next.

Re: Where are News?

I think the right move for Simplify3D going forward, after being silent about an update for years, is to issue a statement (apology) for doing this to the customers and OEM's with a commitment to transparency.

You want to regain the trust of the community atthis point and keep the business alive so you can continue to catch up and exceed the capabilities of free slicers.

Start being more active and transparent in the community and to your users. Post a roadmap of features currently being worked on so people have a reason to stay interested.

I would personally fire whoever is in charge of these decisions at this company and attempt to salvage the business reputation by doing the aforementioned immediately.

Simplify3D has to do better.

Re: Where are News?

I know we have been much more active both here on the forum and emailing directly with customers. We have been able to funnel a lot of that feedback directly into our development plans. For example, our V5.1 release added almost a dozen of the most popular features that customers had been requesting in the months after V5.0\. They have also done a great job tracking bug reports submitted by customers and getting those quickly fixed in subsequent releases.

There is always more opportunity to improve though, so feel free to reach out directly to our team via email or add your suggestions on the forum if there are specific changes you want to see in future versions.
