Makerbot Method Support Material

I am unable to get the support material to adhere to the model material using Simplify3D. It works with CloudPrint so it's not a material issue.

It seems to be either moving too fast or not extruding fast enough. Even in the Ooze Shield it has trouble.

In the profile settings, I have tried adjusting:
1. Extruder 2 Settings > General > Extrusion Multiplier
This setting seems to be tied to the same field in Extruder 1 and does not stay changed when exiting.
2. Support > Dense Supports > All
I can't find any setting here that help.
3. Speeds > General > Sparse Support and Dense Support Speed.
They do slow the extruder down, but not enough.

I attached a simple test part that I have been using for quick testing. Please suggest any changes to try.

Re: Makerbot Method Support Material

When you say the extrusion multiplier isn't changing, do you mean that you change the value, click OK, but then if you immediately re-open the process the value reverted back? I think we've had at least a few other customers mention an issue like that which they eventually traced back to some obscure bug with their Sophos anti-virus software. If you're running that same AV software, it might be worth trying to temporarily disable it and see if that allows settings to save correctly.

We do use Sophos, but I can't turn that off on our company computer.

You can frequently just add a local exception instead of turning the entire thing. Just wanted to make sure you knew that might be the culprit for the issue, since we've had other customers report Sophos was causing it.

I'm checking with IT to see if that is possible.

Thanks
