Bug: v5.1.2 adds plane where it doesn't belong

Hey Simplify3D – I've positively been loving v5. Thank you for all the hard work.

I recently designed a cup-shaped part (it's a bracket) that I tried to slice and print with v5.1.2. Applying an FDM process for a Makerbot Replicator 2 in the Preview I saw the slicer adds a plane across an cup-shaped curved surface facing the positive Z axis.

Here you can see the the first z-layer where this errant plane shows up; it shows up a bridge feature. Stepping up z-layer by z-layer, it looks to be 5 layers thick (1mm in my case):

Here's the same part correctly sliced with v4.1.2, note how the bridging feature/plane is absent:

Happy to send you the part as an stl or 3mf if you'd like to investigate yourselves!

It could definitely help to attach a factory file so others could try to reproduce the issue.

I should also mention that V5 added several new slicing modes to help it deal with different mesh issues. They are explained in more detail on this page:

In particular, I would be interested to know if switching the Slicing Region Repair Mode to Alternating Fill solves the issue with this specific model?
