Surface-level designs

Hi, this is my first post after being away for a few years. I bought S3D back in 2015 and used it as-is. Now that I'm back into 3D printing and have tried other slicers, I've noticed some offer great top layer patterns like the Hilbert curve and others. I'm wondering—does S3D offer anything similar or include any top layer patterns at all?

Also, has there been any news about S3D adding these kinds of features?

Thanks in advance! :)

Re: Surface-level designs

I think there's 3 different top layer patterns right now in S3D, but you can also use any of the interior patterns too (there's 10+ of those). If you want to use the interior patterns you can use something like the variable settings wizard to make a change near the top of the part, then use a higher infill percentage there like 80% with no top solid layers (that's the trick so it will use the internal patterns instead of only the 3 dedicated top layer patterns).
