FIll I don't want Travel moves I don't want there.

It keeps filling this space and I DO NOT want it to do that. I have top and bottom layers off infill off and pretty much everything else off and it INSISTS in fabricated this fill I did no ask for. how do I stop it?

ALSO

it keeps crossing this space. I know why. there is a hole there. but I defined a start point and told it to avoid crossing open spaces. this is TPU so you can guess why I want to avoid travel moves "THERE" I want the travels moves to be anywhere in the universe except that slot. suggestions?

Its the FIRST process in the factor file. set 3 clip s

On that shape you'll likely require a very high detour length. No S3D installed, I think in v4 it was a
setting called "Max detour length" located very close to "Avoid crosssing outlines" in the settings....

edit: Had a look at one of the clamps inside the factory file. v4 will do the same travel paths
because it seems to be treating the small islands from the holes as a separate object.... :|

Another edit:
Maybe using single extrusions/a thin object within the same process can help you guide those
retracts somewhere else. Printing islands sequentially/optimized seems also to have an effect,
at least in v4. But I'm not using S3D anymore and inside a virtual machine it's quite slow and
annoying to test things like this, sorry.

Easiest solution would probably be to close the holes and punch them through after printing,
simply avoiding the spaces:

I was trying to avoid the punch through but that's a good idea to close the holes and punch it later

How did you get rid of the green fill?

That's the big one for me it causes the nozzle to linger too long and heats up the TPU too much.

I have my detour set to 999 and yes it's because it's treating those and tips as Islands wants to hold opens up I was just hoping there was a way I could tell it to cross over the hole instead of crossing over the gap.

Good question, actually I didn't really look at it this at all.... guess: Some kind of gap infill?

Maybe try increasing extrusion width slightly to fill that gap with perimeters instead.

I'll take a look at that in v4 again - but solution might be different, never used v5.

Edit: I can't really say for sure looking at your picture - but isn't the green zig-zag the same
green as solid infill is displayed in? Is it only the top layer or somewhere in the middle?

Edit: Might take a moment. Trying to mimic the settings from your file... but I'm not using v5, so all
I have right now is a bunch of text files (process*.fff) and the STLs from within the factory file.

Setting extrusion width to 0.4 like in your file made some green zig zag pop up despite top/bottom set to 0,
so it seems I'm getting closer...

Hmm... tried a few settings. But the only way I can get v4 to create green zig zag inside the object is
by enabling the solid diaphragm on the infill tab and reducing extrusion width to 0.4/manual.

The moment I increase extrusion width to auto/0.48 there's not enough space for the infill. Also it's
not created if the option is unchecked.

Assuming process1.fff is the first process within your factory file this is disabled in your settings, though.

Does the green zig zag happen to appear every 20 layers like in the settings, although being disabled?

Can't tell from the screenshot how often and where it appears....

Every single layer I pretty much disabled everything and it insists on putting that fill there

It's likely one of the added features in v5. For example I can't see anything inside v4 which
would explain what "solidInfillThresholdArea" is used for. I can only guess by the name but you
have v5, isn't there a mouseover explanation for this parameter on the infill tab?

Maybe one of those settings fills small gaps despite the infill set to 0%, after all it's not called
"SPARSEInfillThresholdArea" and would explain why it's shown in green like top/bottom layers...

It's filling the largest gap only in your screenshot, pretty sure it's something based on a
threshold in mm² somewhere on the infill tab.
