Speed after slicing not matching settings

Good evening... So i just sliced at 40mm/s for everything... and 80% of that speed for first layer.
WHen i slice it and look at the color guide, its not even close...

Its showing first layer at like 5mm/s (which after a test print, seems about right)
It shows no more than 20-25mm/s for the rest of the layers. A tiny bit of green (showing around 40mm/s) on some outer layers.

All the settings are showing as I set them. My FF Creator pro has acceleration enabled (not that would matter in the slicer).

any thoughts?

thank you

Re: Speed after slicing not matching settings

Look in the cooling section. If the layer taks less than x seconds to complete then it will slow the layer down x%.

Jim,, first off, thanks for responding.. Your parts you make are stunning... quite amazing.
I have checked that, and its unchecked... this is a large print, most layers take 15 minutes :)

its strange, when i ramp up the speed to 70mm / s it shows accurately.
its only at 20-40mm/s or so that the color seems to be wierd..
perhaps its just the color wheel is off?

so strange. im printing a raft and im set first layer to 80% and the normal speed set in other is 65mm/s so 80% of that is in the 50s.. its only going about 10mm/s right now . something seriously wrong.
acceleration on my ff pro is enabled.

Re: Speed after slicing not matching settings

thanks! i am a little unfamiliar with the whole MB/sailfish thing and the quirks of how s3d works with it. did s3d used to work correctly and now this is a new issue that has popped up? if so i would got help/reset all settings then go back and load a default profile and change your settings from there. see what happens. i cant think of anything else other than the cooling overrides that would kick in and change the speeds. do it do this with just this model? have you tried others?

Re: Speed after slicing not matching settings

ive only tried this model at this point.. good thought on switching..
so s3d is a fresh install with a brand new printer... so it should be pretty pristine.

Re: Speed after slicing not matching settings

i would assume you've taken notice where your outline and solid infill speeds are set right? they will decrease a % or the print speed.

Re: Speed after slicing not matching settings

yep. for testing purposes i set them all to the same as the base printing speed.
thanks
