I suspect there are a lot of folks like me who have been using Slic3r and are trying out S3D for the first time.
Is there a map, either way, between Slic3r and S3D for converting Slic3r.ini files to S3D.fff files?
While some things are obvious, there are enough differences that I'm sure I'm going to get a couple of settings wrong
[would be really neat if S3D could at least read a .ini file...!]

Could you post your Slic3r ini file as an attachment?

not a windows text file, you'll need something like gedit (unix style text editor)
to make it easy to read it in windows
this one set up for abs, .3mm layers, 20% infill, 2 peripheral, 3 top/bottom (solid) layers
