10mm Cog - Pins not printing but worked fine with Maker

Afternoon all,

I'm using a Leapfrog HS - all is going well, apart from some files that used to work fine with Makerware now fail to print.

I have attached a core example - a cog with pins - the cog part prints but the pins fail. As i said it simply worked on Makerware so im wondering what settings i need to change to get Simplify to export it..

Any help would be really appreciated,

The file slices fine on my computer... why are you saying that the pins fail? Do you see the pins in the gcode preview (because I do!)

It shows in the preview but the pins don't print on the leapfrog create hs.

I tried slicing using Slic3r and it worked and printed fine, so I'm wondering what the difference is as I can't get it to work with Simply..

If it shows up in the preview, then is means that the software is creating the correct gcode. That means it must be the machine's fault or something else stopped the print pre-maturely. The software's only job is to create the correct instructions for the machine (and the preview gives a visual preview of these exact instructions). It is then the machine's responsibility to execute the instructions.

It prints fine using Slic3er on our LeapFrog and also Makerware (on a replicator) - using the settings from Simplify3D to Leapfrog it fails everytime - would that not be a setting in the software (Simplify comes with the Leapfrog Printer).

It's in the gcode so the software is doing it's job. Perhaps you need to be more specific by what you mean when you say "it doesn't print" or "it fails".

Maybe what you really mean to say is that the printer DOES try to print the pins, it is extruding plastic and drawing out the pin outlines, moving up the Z-height of the pins, etc. But perhaps the final pins end up having cooling or other defects?

Why don't you post the gcode you are trying to print and a picture of the part. That would skip past a lot of this confusion.
