Some geometry questions regaring S3D and MB R2

I've been using S3D for quite awhile and love it but I have always wondered why the stock setup for the MB R2 uses a slightly smaller build volume than what it is capable of. About 3-5mm in each direction are cut off in the stock config.

Also why does my layer height readout on my LCD not read exact numbers at the layers? I am using 100% layer height on all layers (and .2mmm layer height) but my R2 reads .198mm for the first layer, .398mm for the next layer and so on.

Is this something in my config that I have wrong?

Neither of these questions matters at all, I am getting fantastic prints. Just idle curiousity.

Do you have a gcode z-axis offset? Maybe the firmware has a stored homing offset. Sailfish supports this I believe
