Looks pretty nice. What would be the advantage of this over, say, the Makergear M2?miglo wrote:Take a look at the MendelMax 3 at http://www.makerstoolworks.com/

They have available dual extruder as an add-on.
And if you are fast you can get this printer delivered in May for only $999.
When I bought mine I waited more than 6 months for the campaign to end and everything worked really well, delivered on time. So I guess this will also be shipped as announced.
If you are interested in the not so tallest version, here is the link, but the cost now is the same $999: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/rapi ... /x/9111896
mitchfx wrote:The super early bird on the 200XL is VERY tempting. Can you tell me a bit more about your experience so far with the RL200?
How reliable has it been?
What is their support and customer service like?
Have you tried any 50 micron prints?
What are noise levels like?
Any kind of in-depth reviews or info seem to impossible to find yet.

I'm not sure this is true. M2 (kit) is $1475. MM3 is actually more at $1495. The ASSEMBLED M2 is indeed more at $1775 but from what I can tell the MM3 doesn't have a pre-assembled option so that's not really a fair comparison. I wish they did though.miglo wrote: The MM3 is also cheaper than the M2.
My apologies, I was looking up the product on Amazon and saw that price.mitchfx wrote:I'm not sure this is true. M2 (kit) is $1475. MM3 is actually more at $1495. The problem with the flashforge is the build HEIGHT is too low for me @ just under 6 inches. This not much more than what I have now (5.5") with my Dremel/Flashforge Dreamer.MichaelHerron wrote:The build volume is not very big, but if you have a MicroCenter store nearby, you can usually pick up an opened-box Powerspec 3D-X Pro for an exceptional price! I got mine for $480 bucks. They retail for 1100 and frequently can be found for 700ish.
It is a Flashforge Creator X (or Pro--both models are avail)/Makerbot Replicator 1 clone, but it has the upgraded processor.
