First, go to Tools --> options, and make sure that "Save and restore application state" is enabled.
If the models and processes that you create still aren't restoring, then you likely have a permissions issue. You could try right-clicking and choosing Run As Admin to see if that makes any difference. You may also want to try deleting the temporary files that S3D creates. For Windows users, I believe you just delete everything in the C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Local\Simplify3D\Creator folder.
Joe, if i close the app with a model it will reopen the model.
What i did find out in the mean time was this.
I made 3 new process, for different layer heights, and i exported them out to .fff files.
now when i close and reopen the app the 3 process all have the correct settings saved.
but there is the default process1 if i remove it, it comes back every time. and my guess is that is default for my printer and the app keeps putting it back .
