need help with supports

Something changed with my supports when I print, because now they print like a mess. The best way to describe it, is the plastic wirey side of velcro. From the pic, you can see all the space that prints on the outside of the support. I'm not confusing this with infill. I think what I was trying to accomplish, was a way I read about somewhere, where you can make the support easier to remove by changing the density where it connects. Can someone dumb it down for me for the settings in that section? Thanks for any help :)

Re: need help with supports

First of all, I would go to help --> reset all settings to get back to the original settings for support material. You will need to restart the software after doing this.

Then when you reopen it, just increase the number of dense support layers to something like 5-10. That will create denser layers of support right at the interface with the model. No other changes needed.

I'll try that...thanks!
