Re: By golly, they listened! Honeycomb and full grid infill.

actually this showed up right on time. it has only been a hair over 4mos since 2.2.2

3-4 mos has been the normal update schedule over the past 2 years. they really hit the ball out of the park on this one. they really listened and added the features that people were asking for.

All good and dandy but they didn't fix the "failure to extend solid layers adequately above infill" bug that has been mentioned several times on this forum over the last 6 months. Do THEY read these postings, I have my doubts. Time for a direct email to support....

Re: By golly, they listened! Honeycomb and full grid infill.

Whats needed now is for someone who has the right permissions on the forum to go through the feature request section and mark all of the addressed requests.

This serves two purposes....firstly it will give users an idea of what requested changes have been made...and secondly, will give an indication of how much influence the users (ie us) have in the development of the software.

Well done to the guys at S3D. How about a feature on the blog briefly running through the development process???

That has been fixed. See comparisons here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=1809&start=40#p11726

There is a toggle button to apply the toolhead offsets. If I'm not mistaken, a majority of printers will not need them so it defaults to not applying them.

And I'm so glad to see that someone is doing exactly that! Its a thankless task that causes a short term nightmare for anyone trying to follow what's going on......but the long term benefit will be a much clearer picture of what the users are requesting.

A big thumbs up to the support team. Well done! :D :D
