No I was referring to S3D's placing the fixed number of Y=-52 in the startup gcode with respect to the dual extruder profile of the Taz. If you enter a non zero number in the toolhead offset tab that should be what gets sent to the software, not the nominal -52. Makes no sense to have it in both places.

I currently have different values in both places. That's because my firmware shipped with what it thought were the correct toolhead offsets, but I still needed to adjust by about 1.5mm when I actually got the printer. So I have to use the M218 command to make those small adjustments, but I still want S3D to know the full correct toolhead offsets so it can do smart path planning.

So that's a perfectly valid example where you need those settings in both places. Thankfully, S3D had that option :D
