Thanks for you reply. Before these issues I had previously installed Sailfish and printed a number of upgrades and bought a glass build plate. I also tried most of those troubleshooting steps and was about to put in a new PSU when Microcenter finally said they would try to repair it. Since I had such a hard time getting them to even look at it they were going to repair it for free. After two weeks with it, they thought they fixed it but hadn't. They offered to replace it or give me a store credit for a different printer even though it was significantly out of warranty.

I got a Robo 3D plus, hated it, and then decided on the Lulzbot Taz 5. It was a substantial cost difference but it was very worth it.
