Today I went to my local hobby store and bought a bottle of Plastruct Plastic weld.
It's a low viscosity liquid and looks similar to alcohol in the bottle.
I brushed it onto several joints this morning and it seems to have wicked into the joints and secured them solidly.
It's been about 7 hours and at this point the joints all feel completely solid but I can't apply full pressure to test the joints until tomorrow morning.
If this works as well as it seems to be working so far, I've found my solution. Literally.
