Re: S3D totally ignores what I program it to do...why?

Mechanician1946 wrote: Thu Jul 02, 2020 5:45 am Okay, thanks for your help. I think I'll be going back to Cura. At least it does what I tell it to without any interference.
Again: You are telling your printer to extrude plastic without heating up first. And you complain about S3D adding those necessary commands to avoid grinding the filament? Instead of fixing the startup script by adding NECESSARY commands?
Mechanician1946 wrote: I have a similar problem with G Code. My start script is:
G28 ; home all axes
G29 ; level bed
M205 X10 Y10 ; set XY jerk to 10
T0 ; select left extruder
G1 X15 Y10 Z0.3 F3000 ; avoid binder clips
G1 X195 E15 F500 ; prime line
G1 X205 F100 ; slow wipe
Look at it... you're really trying to tell us it's the slicers fault you want to extrude plastic without heating first?!

It's exactly the same in Cura. If you want something to happen in a specific order, the start script has to reflect this.

Difference: The variables are named a bit different. So instead of

M104 S[extruder0_temperature] T0 ; set t0 temperature

it's

M104 S{material_print_temperature} T0 ; set t0 temperature

...
