It's still a bug. Your proposed solution is a workaround, not a feature.

I see we will have to disagree!
I'd be really disappointed should the flexibility of operation of the support generation be restricted to cater for some users not understanding how the software works.

no, dont buy it. they are a dead company, check the forum posts about it. It 'IS' a decent slicer, but once the company goes belly up you wont be able to use it anymore since it relies on internet authentication.
