Yep same here - bought the last one with the promise of a year of upgrades and v5 "coming soon". Then just total lack of engagement with us all as the time slipped on by. And now $60 to upgrade to the latest version. It'll be back to Cura land for me too I'm afraid.

Yea its bs in my opinion. Paid good money for V4, why would we have to pay again. Ahh well, now only 1 of my 4 printers use Simplify, when I have time I'll configure prusaslicer to start slicing for the that printer too. Farewell Simplify!

For all of the V5 license types you can only use the software on 1 computer at a time. If you have several computers, the new floating license may be a nice options since it seamlessly moves between computers without any manual work on your end.
So, I get that the old v4 license basically used the honor system about not using both installs at once. I understand that the "floating" license is just some kind of authentication-enforced version of that. Is there any chance that the details of the floating and offline licenses can be published somewhere more public-facing than "Contact Us"?

Your software is designed for power users, and priced accordingly. I'm very interested in the improvements to supports and profile management. However, I'm also not interested in my productivity being held up by the vagaries of IT department policy. Can you please post details, on the main pages, not just in the forums, laying out exactly how this "totally new" licensing system works? Time is money.

We might as well forget it people. This 'company' made promises that they're obviously not going to keep. Its time to move on to another product that will TRULY support its customers!
