Just finished this chess set, board and all. Took me about a month and a half...
DaVinci 1.0 using stock firmware, cartridge resetter and optical sensor blocked.
Pieces were made with 2/2/2 with 25% infill using most other Simply3d default settings for the DaVinci.
Finished with about a 45 minute acetone vapor bath for the pieces.

ineedcolor that chess set looks amazing. I need to start putting my gold grills I print through a vapor treatment. Get that nice glossy look.

It is not my design. I took a scroll saw pattern, scanned it in, and converted each piece into a 3D print model. Took about 3 months to create the stls and a couple months to print it out.

Hiya,
This has been my project. A 1/10 scale Mercedes Zetros. I had to break up parts to fit onto the build plate.
Learning 3d printing and S3D as I went. Wasted what must be 3kg of filament but now I know some tricks

I have to admit that i'm still getting to grips with S3D and sometimes it just doesn't do what i thought it would/should do? But i did persevere with this project and i'm pretty happy with the end result.
A funky 'Swatch' coloured version next me thinks...
