Why does Simplify3d shows correctly the part in the viewer but when slicing adds a solid layer in the hole?

Why does Simplify3d shows correctly the part in the viewer but when slicing adds a solid layer in the hole?

Because the shape file has defects in it....and S3D is not able to handle the crap data!

Attached is the repaired shape file. It WILL load into S3D as an alternate file format.

You'll find that anything up to half of files you can download have defects in them.
