Weird extrusion issue / lumps after a few layers

after a few layer my print begins creating lumps and the extruder bumps into these making it worse.
this only happens when I slice the file in Simplify3D, if I use the sclicer that came with my 3d printer everything seems to work ok (but the print quality is not the best on that slicer) .
I have a QID TECH I, settings are default on high except for infill is set to 100%

I've found 100% infill doesn't work well when trying to make a solid part. Better to set your bottom layers to 9999 and then you part prints without infill, only solid layers top to bottom.

Very interesting..
When you do this, does it use the angles set in the internal or external infill tab? If so, do you set many angles to provide,I would assume higher strength?
