Hello,

I’ve been trying to do a print in which case every time I try to make the preview it shows that it is floating in space. When I do the print it collapses because it doesn’t hang the piece correctly. I’m attaching a facroty file and a picture from my computer. This might be a bug…

thank you,

Trying to slice your factory file took up all the memory on my computer and had to be killed.

Looking at the model in cross section, it looks to be two zero-width surfaces enclosing a volume the thickness of what should be a wall, instead of a solid wall. Did you model this with a mesh modeler, per chance?

Just a general note, you may have difficulty printing a long thin part like that. For strength along the length, you may want to print it lying down with support. If that is not feasible, you could split the model lengthwise and print it in two parts, to be glued together afterwards.

That's going to take a long time to print!
