What is the file path for printer profiles in OSX? I can't seem to find where all the printer settings reside.

Thanks,
Adrian

I believe the bundled profiles are hard-coded into the software. They aren't external files. However, you could always load the profile, then click export if you need the FFF file for some reason.

Still, there should be some location or means to add user-defined machine definitions as well. That would at least require a "known" user-writable location, not as part of the app pkg, and thus far, there doesn't appear to be one for Simplify3D on OSX. Users shouldn't have to change app pkg contents to do so.

If the app doesn't already support scanning some per-app user-writable dirs (typically in "~/Library/Application Support/(blah)/") for adding user-defined machine types, and other custom configs, then such functionality would be highly desirable/useful.

hmmm, maybe what you guys want went right over my head but if you want to save a custom configuration dont you just export your process and give it a name? you want that config again just import it? i dont see where the need is to dig into the software and store a custom process in the software somewhere. my custom processes even show up in the drop down printer list. maybe im just not understanding what it is your trying to do.

Adrian,
under the user where you installed S3D you will find:
./Library/Preferences/com.simplify3d.Creator.plist

I am not sure if you find anything you look for.
There is a nice OSX utility Find Any File
On your own risk. You need to be SU
Hope this helps. Jakob
