[FIXED] Concentric Ext Fill Pattern - no bridging?

To Whom it May Concern,

On a flat surface I have text recessed 1mm. I'm printing this surface face down on my print bed. When I have Rectilinear External Fill Pattern selected I see bridging happening like I expect. But, if I select Concentric External Fill Pattern no bridging happens in those same areas. If bridging should happen I would expect to happen no matter which External Fill Pattern is selected.

I can see this going both ways design-wise. Perhaps this is better off as a feature request? Something like a toggle for what ti do in that situation might work best.

If you want to work around it just set a load of perimeters for that layer with bridging for perimeters enabled.

I usually use this instead of concentric infill anyway because the gap filling algorithm works fine for perimeters and yet is bloody useless for concentric infill.

I’m happy to state that this issue should be resolved now in the latest 4.1.0 release. Our team successfully tested several factory files from threads mentioning this issue. Bridging areas in version 4.1.0 will automatically generate optimized bridging angles and use bridging settings (even when concentric external fill has been specified). This was just one of many improvements to the software. All of which are detailed on our Release Notes page.

Thank you for your help reporting this issue!
