s3d crashing when attempting to switch to new profile

I just got a new printer, a FlashForge Finder. When adding it to S3D, the program locks up and stops responding. (windows 7, s3d version 4) Attempting to swap to the newly added profile after reloading the program results in the same crash.
Any idea what's going on here and how to fix it?

Try going to
Help >> "Reset all settings" or if you're unable to open the software, follow the steps in our
FAQ entry for full settings wipe so that the software is then attempting to open from the default state.

Help, Me Too! On ver 5.01
Same happened to me with my MakerGear M3-ID.
I reset everything, restarted, and at first it worked fine, but started crashing when Switching to new profile. I had changed very few settings, but had selected my printer.
