Simplify3D User Forum

Hello all im very new to 3d printing and was wondering if anyone could help me please.
I have a creality ender 3 pro and when i have finished printing i would like the Z axis to up 100mm over the item i have just printed so could anyone give me the gcode which i can put in the script page

... go to menue SCRIPTS and there to the tab Ending Scripts

insert there

G28 X0 ; home the X-axis
M104 S0 T1 ; turn off right extruder
M104 S0 T0 ; turn off left extruder

G1 Z180 (Example!)
M84 ; disable motors

T1 / T2 when there are 2 extruders, otherwise delete the T1- line

Z180 = nozzles height after the print, BUT be sure, you are in the "Absolute-Mode".

Absolute-mode understands Z180 as the real point at 180 mm over the bed,
contrary to "Absolute" is "Relative" and this would cause a mouvement of 180 mm starting at the last Z-height, so it adds the Z-value to the models height! That can demage your printer. If you are not sure what mode is running , insert another line above G1 Z....

annex:
Another tip for you. Never use this when the model is greater than the given G1 Z ...-value !!! I.e. the model has 200 mm height, than Z180 crashes the printhead to the model. I use a marker in front of my nose to never forget it!

hello again i put in the code you gave me and it works a treat for small items so as you said i need to use G90 but where abouts in the script would i put it

G1 Z50 ; lifts z axis 50 mm at end

Perhaps you have a look to your Starting Script if there are commands G 90 (set to absolute positioning) or G91 (set to relative p.)
Allways available is the last of the commands ; standard is Absolute Mode and if there is no G91, the mode is not switched to relative. But to be sure it is better to add the G90 command, that doesn't makes trouble if needless.
