Morning all,

I've lost track of how long I've looked into printers, and finally took the plunge yesterday with a da Vinci Pro. Loving it so far, going through all the usual newbie mistakes and questions by the look of things, but making progress.

One thing I can't fathom, despite reading up on sequential printing in S3D, is how I sequential print with a single process. If I want to produce a batch of small simple parts then I want to do them sequentially to reduce the risk of one lifting and wrecking all other prints by being dragged around. I can't figure this out for love or money! Can any guru please give me a pat on the head and point me in the right direction?

Thanks but that doesn't demonstrate single process sequential printing.

Sorry, but I don't understand the problem.

If you have imported some objects to print and you have selected the objects to several processes, than the program ask what process you want to print >>> process one, process two, ... or All Processes.

A process may contain entire objects or it may contain parts of an only one object.
The first possibility urgently needs to select the objects to its processes, the 2nd one may run by different print heights (start/stop) .

It's sequential printing under a single process that I'm trying to do, without having to duplicate and assign processes individually to every model.

You cannot sequential print several objects using a single process! You have to have one process for each part.


An example factory file is attached so you can see how it is set up...


Tp slice: Select "Prepare to Print", then select ALL 5 processes, tick the Sequential Printing radio box and enter a mx height clearance.....then click OK.

Is there a slicker way to set it up then rather than having to create a new process, go into the settings, select the model, rinse and repeat? When I'm trying to batch 10+ items that's a real pain!

If you feel it painful to select the models to its processes, than so it is.

But creating the processes is easy in your case, because you don't need to change any settings when the first process is ready to print. All following processes are exact copies of the previous process. "ADD" will copy always the previous process and the new process inherits all changings of the previous.

But if you want to print sequential all object without any changings of the settings, where is the advantage of this methode. I even see some disadvantages. But this is my opinion.
