First print

Hello people, good evening

This is my first print on Simplify3D and I'm having issues. It slices very quickly and when the temperature reaches the desired 220 on the extruder the head starts to move, I adjust the Z and the print stops right after.

I have a reprap based on Sanguinololu with Repetier firmware. It works fine with Repetier host. My printer has two buttons to adjust the Z at any time I want. So right on the first layer I do that and leave as close as possible to perfect first layer. I'm guessing may have something to do with the those buttons. After I adjust it it pauses the print.

If I click pause and play again I see the head moving just a little and stops again.

Does any one have any clue what may be the problem?

Thanks in advance!

Re: First print

What you probably want to implement is G-code offsets. Click Edit Process settings, then click on the Gcode tab. If you don't see tabs, click Show Advanced. From here there is the option for G-code offsets, you can place in a negative Z offset so your prints will automatically move down and you wont have to interfere with manual jogging.

Re: First print

Looks like it's waiting for the temperature to stabilize.
T:224 is the temperature of the extruder which is showing 4 degrees above 220C in your example.
What temperature is the bed set at?

If you don't want it to wait, there is a check box for each heater in the temperature tab.
