Simplify3D User Forum

I have 3 different makes of printer and every time I use the configuration assistant to change the printer type in Simplify3D it starts with a new profile. I then select a saved profile but I have to delete the generic profile that Simplify3D started with after using the configuration assistant. I think it would be so much better if when you use the configuration assistant to change the printer type it should prompt you to either load a saved profile from your list or use the generic profile for that printer type.

Add each printer from the assistant. Then what I do is take the added profile for let's say "printer A" and select save as new and rename it to something useful such as "Printer A PLA".
I do this for each printer. I never actually use the default one but just create a new one for the printer and the material.

So I have things like:

Creator Pro PLA
Creator Pro ABS
Prusa MK2 PLA
Prusa MK2 ABS
