It would probably be a bit more helpful if you were a bit more detailed... Such as what Operating system you're using, maybe a few pertinent hardware specs, are you doing anything in particular with s3d when you get the crashing?
For the record, I use s3d on mac and windows daily, and do no get crashes.

I should probably get a mac or a new pc/laptop. Im using on PC windows 7 ulti
8gb ram AMD x4 2.8ghz Radeon HD 5700
Maybe it is this PC, I need to upgrade.
What i did is Duplicated model 11x then it loaded and hung there forever.
Also sometimes when slicing it freezes up.
I gave it high priority in device manager

Don't get a mac to run 2.1.1. It's borked and won't even run on 10.10. Lol

Or... get a Mac and run s3d 2.1.1? You do realize 10.10 is a non-stable beta dev release right? Apple hasn't implemented all system files and will be removing/adding as they go through build revisions. I have no issue running s3d 2.1.1 on the
current stable release of Mac OS X, which is 10.9.3 Mavericks.
From Apple's FAQ:
Please note that since pre-release software or beta software has not yet been commercially-released by Apple, it may contain errors or inaccuracies and may not function as well as commercially-released software.

On a serious note, S3D is buggy as hell so I would not seriously recommend ANY ONE buy a mac just to run S3D, its no better than the windows version. I obviously already had the mac.

funny, i've been running all the versions for the past year on a mac and never had an issue with the software other than 1 or 2 minor inconveniences that were always corrected in the next release. nothing that has ever stopped me from using the full functionality of the software.
