incorrect Z axis

Hello,

I have built a customized printer that is most similar to the makerbot replicator.
I use RAMPS1.4 and the newest repetier firmware.
I can move the printer manually and correctly with the Machine Control Panel.
When I press Home All then the Position Readout tells me:
x: 0.00
y: 170.00
z: 100.00
That means that y and z homing direction is max and x is min.
My Problem is the following:
When I want to print a part, the bed does not move up to the extruder and the extruder prints in the air. But the Position Readout for z is 0.18 wich would mean that the bed is 0.18mm under the extruder. In reality is in homing Position what means 199.00mm.
What is my mistake?

Thanks
Flo

Re: incorrect Z axis

Did you try going to: Tool > Options > Machine (tab) > Flip build table axis > check z-axis [radio button] ? That may do the trick... You can flip the other axes as well or add in an "origin offset".

I believe your firmware is set incorrectly and z motor is plugged in backwards as well. Your firmware is probably set to home in min z direction, but your endstop is at the max. If im thinking of it properly, your z motor is probably plugged in backwards as well. In your case, if the bed moves up to the extruder at a print and is supposed to move down during the print, when you jog the bed, it should be moving down when you hit Z+.
