Simplify3D User Forum

Ok so I have been using S3D on Makerfarm Pegasus 12 with a Single Titian Extruder for about 2 years with no problems. I just upgraded it to a Dual Extruder and am having a hell of a time getting it to work with the 2nd Extruder.

So picked one of my existing Processes and added a 2nd extruder :

Extruder Tab > (Left = Tool 0 and Right = Tool 1)
Tempeture Tab (Left = Tool 0 and Right = Tool 1)

Start the Dual extruder Wizard "You do not currently have any profiles that support dual extrusion though this Wizard" Download compatible Profiles - Configuration Assistant" Ok I'll bite, Go through the assistant and all I have managed to do add another MakerFarm Pegasus 12 now with a "(1)" next to it. Try the Wizard again and same directions.

It would seem to me a "Wizard" should say at this point "you do not currently blah, blah, blah" Would like to create one now? because the current directions are pointless unless you can complete the process with a working result.

I can go into the machine control panel and can see and manipulate the 2nd extruder (mess with the temps, etc.) so I know its being seen.

I have seen the Dual Extrusion video (useless until I can get past step 1 though....)

But I think its missing some information as it never even referenced the Extruders Tab just the Tempeture Tab.

Is there any clear working directions that can get me over this hurdle? Thanks

I think the issue is that the profile for the Pegasus 12 doesn't have two extruders (which makes sense since it's sold with one as far as I can see).
Try adding another profile through the Configuration Assistant and choose Other instead.
Add all relevant info on the next page and make sure to change number of extruders to two.
