Bridging extrustion multiplier

I'm quite surprise with official S3D recommendation:
Typically, you will want to set the “Bridging extrusion multiplier” to 100% or more,
Which usually generate falling bridge strings for me. So I usually use underextrusion for bridges. But then I have problem with sticking bridge to outlines in S3D.

What extrusion multiplier do you finaly use for bridges in S3D?

Thx

The exact multiplier will be different for each machine. Some do better with over extrusion and others with more of a stretching effect. To increase the bond with the outlines, you'll want to increase the outline overlap in the infill tab. Or if you're bonding with infill sections increase the bridging inflation distance.

I agree with your thought to reduce the bridging extrusion multiplier. Increasing it really doesn't make much sense for the most part.

For PLA for instance if I am at a normal multiplier of 0.93 I might set the bridging one at 0.90 or 0.91. The idea is to under extrude it slightly to encourage the filament to stretch a bit and sag less. I also slow way down for some bridging.
