Version 2.1.1 Mac 10.10 does not start for user

Good morning everyone
I am having some problems with 2.1.1 starting (quick flash and it terminates with out msg).
It starts if I create a new user account run happily.
If I deactivated it in the new user account and the reactivated it in the old account it asks for the activation code accepts it and the disappears from screen and if I try to restart it I get a quick flash.
I have hunted around for some plist files, to remove, in the user area and can't find any files.
I then updated the system to OSX 10.10 (14A299l) (beta) to see if that changed anything but no luck.
Has any other Apple user come across this?
Please has anyone got an idea of whats going on?
