Simplify3D User Forum

Hi,
I would like to change fan speed for all top surfaces in the piece, need more flow.
With PLA, for all infill layers fan at 50% is enough, but I get better flat surface on top with fan at 100%, especially with low infill pourcentage.
Is there a way ?

What I would do is to go to print preview and find the layer number for the layer you want the fan at full speed then on the cooling tab enter that in the left window.

So if you want the top layer and let's say it is layer 58 then set the layer to 58 and the speed to 100% in the left window.
One thing though is if it is an internediate layer then you'll need to add another set point to slow the fan back down if you want to.

REmember thought that this only works for printers with a controllable speed fan.

That is what I do, but for each piece you have to thing to adjust settings
