IDEX prime bucket G-code question.

I got a question about setting up IDEX for S3D. So I got the formbot T-rex 3.0 I got the second extruder tuned in and alignment test prints are spot on. Now the Trex 3 is a IDEX printer with prime buckets. How do I set up to prime/purge everytime the tool changes in S3D. I basically just want the gcode have a command that purges like a CM of filament everytime before it starts printing.

So extruder 1 starts printing and then extruder 2 is going to put down a PVA dense support layer but that head needs to prime before it prints and then I need E1 to prime again after E2 finishes.

Tried doing stuff myself but absolute failure. I have NO idea how to setup a second extruder's behaviour before printing.

Scrips and Gcode commands are definitely not my thing.

Also a machine profile for a formbot T-rex 3.0 would be great

I would love to see more info about this too because there are more and more IDEX systems out there.

Good news is, I know S3D is testing a Flashforge Creator 3 (I have one too) and use it in some of their videos: https://twitter.com/Simplify3D/status/1 ... 6110760962

So I hope they can release some tool/wizzard for this.

Tip of the day #8 should have all of the scripting variables you need. Use the toolchange script: viewtopic.php?t=1959
