[ADDED] Top Solid Infill Speed Control

I'm facing some issues printing huge parts with flat surface.. I like to print infill really fast (like 120~150mm/s), but the top solid surface have more quality on slow speeds, like 60~80mm/s. Today we have no way to control that speed on Simplify3D like we have in Slic3r or Cura.
It will be a really nice feature to improve this great software.
By the way, is there
ANYBODY from Simplify3D reading this forum?? I have never saw their opinion on feature request topics..
I fell like wasting my time posting here..
Cheers.
Alex.

If the object is flat on top you could do a separate process for just the top few layers with a slower speed.
If the object has flat spots in different positions though this would become cumbersome and wouldn't work.
so.. +1.. I need this too.
And yes, I feel like I'm largely ignored on these forums also. I've got some good feedback/answers from other users but never a word from anyone S3D official as far as I know unless they're in disguise. I hope it's because they're hard at work on the next version fixing all the issues and new features that have been reported.
What they really need is a public bugtracker instead of a bug forum. Especially if you could see the status of feature requests, target versions for features, bugs etc.

People from s3d do read the forum but dont post in it. Many requests from the past have made it into the new releases. Seems clayton stopped posting about a year ago. The forum is basically a place for users to help users.

i really wish this was open source or i could just do coding for free to add more features. it would be so easy to slow down the shell layers. they already have parameter to slow down the outside layers, just not the infill of the top layers. since there is already an option box for the number of solid layers you want, i assume it would literally be less than 10 lines of code to put this into the program

+1 on this
I really like the ability to print really slow on the top layer to give the best possible finish but don't want to go messing with inserting a speed control at specific layer. A check box with a percentage for top layer would be brilliant.
I would have thought the top layer would get treated like the outer shell, maybe that's an option too? Incorporate it as part of the outer shell.

The ability to change top/bottom solid infill speeds was added in version 2.2
