Support Pillar Resolution Below 1mm

Hi!
I love simplify3d but I really need better auto support generation for very fine details. The 1.00 mm resolution still misses many spots. Is there a reason for the stop at 1.00 mm? My printers can print a .5 mm tower just fine and I lose a huge amount of time when a print fails and I have to go back and fix the supports manually. The algorithm runs super fast at 1mm, let me turn it down to .75 mm or .5 mm?
