Mesh intersection fill

It would be nice to have some options that allow for usage with bad meshes - i.e. 2 parts placed overlapping eachother, that externally look good. But currently, are processed as a void where the overlap is.

For example, this piece: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3905351

The paws are inset into the base, and s3d processes the slicing as an empty space such that the base and the figure on top aren't actually connected. It would be useful to have some sort of mesh overlap functionality here in case those voids aren't intended.

Re: Mesh intersection fill

Not a solution....but a worlaround….use the Separate Connected Surfaces option to drag the individual meshes out into separate files.

Search Separate Connected Surfaces on the forum for examples of this ...and the solution.

This "Feature" of not reacting to overlapping parts in a positive way...if you can call it that; I think its a pain in the arse!.... has been in S3D for ever, and I've suggested this workaround some eighty or so times...and each time it has worked! Its about time S3D changed this horrible default way of working so that overlapping meshes are treated as such - overlapping, ie combine into one part!
