build placement problem. bug or only me?

I have had problems ever since i started using s3d with the build placement.

If i place an object in the middle of the view, it prints a couple of cm to the left and out. If i place an object far to the right in the view, the printer hits the end.
If i place an object a bit outside the buildview to the left i MAYBE can find the leftmost position.

attached picture show what i mean. even this placement hits end on the right and there are about 3cm left on the front, 1 cm on the left.
I THINK it has something to do with that the buildplate only show 16 squares (cm). My machinesettings is set to 200mm on all axis.

I am not using "update machinesettings" in process editor, as i only have one printer.

Repetier is showing and printing correct.

Printing on a K8200.
Using autobedlevelling with servo, and it measures correctly. An if i move bed manually it moves to correct position always. My home is front left corner, which is spot on.
Has nothing to do with the bedlevelling firmware changes as i have had it since the beginning.

It sounds like the XY coordinates of the center of your bed do not match the coordinates that Simplify3D is using. Check your actual bed size is correctly set up in the software, and that your printer homes to the correct coordinates (i.e. moving to X0 Y0 puts the nozzle exactly over the corner of your build area).

Yes my printer is and have always been set up as 200*200*200
with home at 0, 0,.0 and if i press home it goes to 0, 0, 0
front left (i have y axis flipped i think) ...must check that.

It is like s3d just shows a too small plate (150*150) it seems.

Keep in mind that you can set your bed size in your process and also in the program settings. I keep the one in my process turned off and just use the prefrence settings.

Re: build placement problem. bug or only me?

I tried today the G1 moves and they are correct. G1 X200 Y200 moves to the right inner corner and G1 X0 Y200 moves to the left inner corner.

I am really annoyed, because i want to print a quadcopter frame that is 195mm, and i have a hell finding the right position to print it.

When i first installed s3d several month ago, i MIGHT have used a 150x150 template from another printer. Could it be an unvisible setting that follows the preset no matter what i change?

Please look at this fff and see if you can find anything there:

Anders, what printer do you have? I can give a look at your file later tonight. Have you tried removing your process and going back to a built in one to see if that cures the problem?

I have a Velleman K8200/3 drag. I think it is strange that it has not got a preset yet, as it actually is a pretty popular printer.

I have found out what is wrong, but not how to fix it.

It seems it really is the firmware that offsets the coordinates. If i run autobedlevelling it offset but not if i skip it.

Problem is that i can't find in marlin where to change it.

And i can't find any info searching google.

The G29 command is causing your prints to start in a different location? I haven't heard of this before.
