Simplify3D User Forum

Hi,

For some time I use Simplify as many others here in Germany and I am very satisfied with the options, the features and the results generated in most cases.
Therefore, I would like a thing that could be improved to encourage. The documentation.
Everything described in the "Software Tutorials" is well understood by us, but what many lack is the exact description of all settings not described in this tutorial.
Although if you go I the software on each setting appears a help text, daber this is for many not always really understand.
In Germany, not everyone speaks English and then we work with translators to this the fact that many in our other appointments have which can easily lead to misunderstandings.

A small example here in the forum.

The title "Two Printers" is translated by Google Translator me as "Eight printer". This is usually not a big problem, because you very quickly understood in the context of the text what it is after the title, but in a short text is not possible.

There are also in Progam some, for many obscure descriptions, just in the short aids.

My request, and suggestion would be to describe all the settings in the software tutorials so that the impact of the settings is clear.

Edwin, this is an excellent suggestion. I too would like to see it. The tutorials are great to step you through, step-by-step, but they don't actually describe what anything is actually "really" doing. Good tutorials are a good balance between "QuickStart Guides" and "Technical Documents." S3D is sorely lacking in technical documentation. I wrote tech support to ask why and they said they didn't want to confuse users with a bunch of technical stuff to read. To be honest, I don't think anyone who gets into 3d printing is expecting it to plug and play and work as easily as a toaster oven. The vast majority of users are technically inclined and thirsty for technical information. S3D gets a score from me of "2" from me for the lack of a true Manual and Technical Guide.

Having said that, I love how it works. It just takes a lot of trial and error for many items. Most all of that wasted trial and error could be eliminated with just a bit of technical info included within the tutorials.

now I come largely from the absence of such documentation, and I take things matrimonial this software can not should, but ......
I see constantly how people with Simplify reach the limits of understanding, since the functions and options of Simplify not, or are not understandable documented. Even I would use such documentation always wideder. I think that this software could find more widespread with us when the Bediehnung would be understood by a documentary.
