How to export or save Communication log from Master Control Panel

I've seen a few posts here that asked for the MCP log file. I do not see how to export or save the data from the Communication panel into a log file. Is it already written somewhere? The screen display only goes back so far, and often when an error occurs the original message is long gone. It would be great to access the log file... but on my Mac I do not see any recently-updated file that looks likely to be this log.

The communication log is not saved to a log file. You can select the output by clicking and dragging upwards then right click and copy the selected text. You can then either paste this into a txt file or simply paste it into your forum post inside a quote or code block.
