extruded part not merged

Hi,

I'm trying to print a model with extruded "bump" all around the model:

But there is a gap between my shape and the bump :

and behind the bump, the shape is empty:

Could you help me figure out the problem ? I tried to change but without any success.

Use the Separate Connected Surfaces option on the Mesh menu.
