4.1.2 interface is exceptionally slow

Running macOS Catalina 10.15.4 and Simplify 4.1.2 is running exceptionally slow. The interface lags the input by a second or more especially when enlarging the window. Everything else on this system runs snappy quick as normal.

Is there a compatibility issue with this version of macOS? Given the relationship between window size and performance could it be related to the current graphics driver?

Further testing shows that Simplify 4.0 runs normal speed. I'm only having the performance issue with 4.1.2.
