Simplify3D User Forum

Hi all,

not sure if i'm writing in the correct place or not, Just wondering if anyone knows how i can make the purge tower save filament?

I'm intending on printing a simple print with some text on the front, the text would be a different colour to the main body, which means only the first few layers would need a filament change... However Simplify makes the purge tower the full height of the print! (Which is a bit of a waste!) I've attached an image (Hopefully) Showing what i mean.

Does anyone have a workaround for this?

I would suggest using the Variable Settings Wizard to split this into two Procsesses. You can then turn the Prime Pillar option off for the second Process.
