Top Layer Incomplete BEFORE Printing

So I've been using Simplify3D for a year or so and have never encountered this problem (or any problem a little Googling couldn't fix), and I'm pretty confused.
I've noticed that when the face at the top of the object I'm trying to print is wide and flat, it doesn't seem to be completing? It doesn't appear to be a problem with the .stl, as if I rotate the model (to make the top face not flat), it does not do this. I did a test print of one of these files to see if what I was getting in the sliced preview would appear in the final print, and it did. I've combed through my settings, and I've no idea what I could've done to make this happen!
At the risk of looking a fool, here are images of what I'm talking about. Please help me find what setting has me confounded!
